The Apostle Jude uses the example of Cain, Balaam, and Korah to call into question the state of affairs of the Church of his time. So too the Apostle Eric vonAnderseck expounds on how the Church faces these same controversies today. He explains how that the children of Israel received a charge from Joshua in respect to the priesthood of Moses and how this was connected to their immediate and eternal destiny. Dr. vonAnderseck explains how the Church has received a charge from God in respect to the priesthood of Jesus Christ. However, in not understanding the spiritual activity associated with the daily priesthood of the believer Jesus Christ gave, Christians have become vulnerable to faith merchandising in order to obtain a sense of achievement and advancement with God. Year after year, new principles, new books, and new visions are crafted to keep the believer busy yielding their sovereignty in the pursuit of life's issues, yet the soul remains lean and malnourished. Dr. vonAnderseck exhorts the Church to defend the charge to the priesthood of Jesus Christ by keeping their sanctification through the Spirit, preserving the truth, and remaining consistent to God’s calling of faith according to His spiritual government. Through this threefold cord of the priesthood (government, truth, and Spirit) he explains how we remain under God’s care bound to the altar of Christ. Apostle Eric warns that without this cord the believer misses the most essential point of Christianity and cannot stand as the called, chosen, and faithful. Setting aside hasty answers, he exhorts believers to consider with attentive care the solid foundation that God has provided for their faith through living apostles so that we can ultimately stand in our eternal inheritance. Just as Jude, the Apostle Eric quotes from the prophet Enoch and speaks of the end of times and the judgments of God to come. Provocative, enlightening, and to the point of where we are at in God's timetable for the end of days and what must be done to prepare.
